What is General Synod Digest?
General announcement
The General Synod Digest has now changed. Susan Young, the
editor, bowed out earlier this year, which prompted us to look
again at how we produced it. What we found was that, for roughly
the same cost, we could produce extra copies of the 12-page,
full-colour account of the General Synod that appears in the Church
Times. We can thus provide General Synod Digest readers with a much
more comprehensive coverage - and, moreover, we can get it to you
much more promptly, just a few days after the Synod has ended.
Postage and packaging costs are higher, of course, but these
costs will be absorbed and we will honour the existing GSD
prices.
We will continue to produce three editions a year, even when, as
this year, there is no November Synod. We shall produce a special
report on the progress of legislation, what is happening in the
committees, and a preview of the forthcoming agenda. Produced - as
in all we do - by our independent reporters, it should be a key
document in keeping churchgoers and diocesan representatives well
informed about what is happening at the centre.
We hope you like the new format. Don't hesitate to let us know
